Privacy policy
This policy explains what data is processed when you use the website bonfireofwishes.solucionec.com and the mobile app Bonfire of Wishes, for what purpose and for how long.

1. The short version
There is no registration and no account: we never ask for your name, your email or your phone number. What you write as a wish is sent to our server and stored there, together with your IP address and a random identifier that the app creates on your device — that identifier is the only reason the app can show you your own history. Nothing is published, and nothing is linked to a name.
Please write the wish, not your personal details. The app cannot tell whether a wish contains personal data, so it treats the text as free text. If you include your name, your address or information about someone else, that information ends up stored with the wish.
2. What you write in the app
When you send a wish, the app sends the text over HTTPS. The following is stored: the text of the wish (obfuscated in the database, which is not the same as encrypted), the IP address of the request, the random device identifier, the platform the wish came from (iOS, Android or web) and the date and time.
The legal basis is your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), given by the deliberate act of writing a wish and sending it. If you also choose the real-bonfire option, the same text is printed in order to be burned, which means a person at SOLUCIONEC reads it — that is the reason the text is stored in a form we can recover.
Because a wish is free text, it may contain special categories of data under art. 9 GDPR — health, beliefs, sexual orientation. The app is not designed to process such data and we ask you not to include it. If you do include it, the processing rests on your explicit consent (art. 9.2.a GDPR) and you can ask for it to be deleted at any time.
Retention: wishes are kept while the service is running so that the app can show you your history, and are deleted when you ask us to. There is no account to close, so a deletion request needs the identifier the app holds — write to info@solucionec.com from the device in question and we will tell you how to send it.

4. Who else is involved
The following providers take part in delivering the service, acting as processors or as independent controllers depending on the case:
- Google Ireland Limited — Google AdMob, Firebase (measurement and notifications), Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager.
- Apple Distribution International and Google Ireland Limited as app stores, with their own download statistics, always aggregated.
- The hosting provider of the website and of the database where the wishes are stored, which processes them on behalf of SOLUCIONEC.
Wishes are not sold, shared or handed to third parties for purposes other than those described here.
5. International transfers
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the United States. In those cases the transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or, failing that, on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, together with the additional measures each provider documents.
6. Your rights
You can exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, and withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand, by writing to info@solucionec.com. Because there is no account, we may need the identifier the app holds in order to locate your wishes; we will never ask you for an ID document to answer a request about an anonymous identifier.
If you believe the processing does not comply with the rules, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
7. How to withdraw your consent
- On the web: click here to clear your choice and bring the cookie panel back.
- In the app, for advertising: from the privacy options the app itself offers, which show Google's consent form again.
- In the app, on iOS: additionally, in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, where you can withdraw the tracking permission.
- Notifications: from your device's notification settings.
- Wishes already sent: by writing to info@solucionec.com.
8. Minors
The service is aimed at people aged 18 or over, is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect their data. If we find that we have processed a child's data, we will delete it.
9. Security
The website is always served over HTTPS and so are the app's requests. Reasonable technical and organisational measures are applied to protect the information. No system is infallible: should a breach affecting your rights occur, it would be notified in accordance with art. 33 GDPR.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect legal, technical or service changes. The version in force is always published on this page, with its last revision date.
