How it works

Midsummer bonfires have been lit for thousands of years to mark the solstice, keep bad luck away and ask for a good year ahead. The app keeps the gesture and spares you the firewood.

The sheet leaves your hands and goes into the fire. No account, no name, no profile to fill in.

The bonfire takes it in front of you. Your wishes stay in the app's history, so you can read them back whenever you like.
If a screen is not enough, the app can add your wish to a real bonfire at the next lighting. It is free and entirely up to you — the app asks first and tells you exactly what it does.

What does the app actually do?
You write a wish on a sheet of paper on screen, send it, and the bonfire burns it in front of you. The app keeps a history of your own wishes so you can read them back later.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. The app creates a random identifier on your device so it can list your own history back to you, and nothing else. It never asks for your name or your email.
Is my wish burned in a real bonfire?
In the app it always burns. On top of that, the app can add your wish to a real bonfire at the next lighting. That option is free, optional and offered to you before anything happens.
Is it free?
Yes. The app is free and supported by advertising. The first time you open it you choose whether you want personalised ads, and you can change that choice whenever you like.
What happens to what I write?
Your wish is sent to our server so the app can list it back to you and so it can be added to a real bonfire if you ask. It is not published anywhere and it is not linked to a name or an email, because we never ask for either. Write the wish, not your personal details — the privacy policy explains the rest.
